About

Shanna Crum is a Christian singer blending contemporary worship, country, and pop with a message of lasting joy and peace. Born and raised in northeast Philadelphia and now living in the quiet countryside of Pennsylvania, she carries the best of both worlds: city grit, country calm, and a steady faith that shapes every note she sings.

Music has always been part of Shanna’s life, even as a kid. From singing into imaginary microphones, playing toy guitars, learning basic piano for a short time, and practicing harmony to hymns alongside her cousin and childhood best friend in church — worship was where her love for music and connection with God began to grow.

That love carried into her early performances — including a nervous first time singing on stage in Philadelphia, followed by opportunities in multiple churches across Pennsylvania, and even in the Atlanta, Georgia area during a pivotal season. One of her early post-teen experiences was singing and occasionally traveling with a southern gospel family band — her now husband’s family. It was a gift to be part of it, and the experience helped her grow in confidence and connection through music.

Her calling was confirmed during a brief season of vocal strain — a short but memorable time marked by prolonged hoarseness and uncertainty. In that quiet moment, she made a heartfelt promise to God: If You let me sing, I’ll sing for You. That simple offering became a turning point, marking a deeper surrender and a clear direction: to sing for His glory, no matter what.

A defining season in Georgia — serving in worship, building lifelong friendships, and growing deeply in her walk with God — helped confirm it was time to fully embrace the calling to music. Now back in Pennsylvania, Shanna is preparing to record her debut EP and will be working with a Grammy-level producer after raising the funds necessary to do it professionally. The songs will be sourced, and she knows what they’ll carry: joy, strength, fun, and a sense of freedom. Songs that build. Songs that move. Songs that point back to Jesus.

With plans to share her music on streaming platforms, at live events, and maybe on the radio, Shanna hopes every listener experiences something real. Whether it’s  joy, peace, or a moment that draws them closer to Jesus, she prays her music creates space for them to have a moment with Jesus.

“My family is my why,” she says. “I want to create something that lives long after I’m gone — something I can give to my kids, and something God can use to carry His love into places I may never stand, but where His presence is still needed.”
